The List is Out

George Mitchell's report is out, and paging through his document, it looks like many of the names I listed this morning were correct, and at least a couple, most notably Albert Pujols and Jason Varitek, do not appear. Looking at the report, my guess is that his list is just the tip of the iceberg (i.e., I am sure there were steroid sources that were not interviewed or uncovered by Mitchell). Bottom line is that Lou had it right in his post below this morning: let's spend our time looking ahead at how to fix the problem and not get bogged down in the past or what to do to punish past violators (to his credit, Mitchell said as much in his press conference). Here is a link to the list of players named in the report.

I did not see A-Rod on list, so I assume he is not on it as he would be one of the first (behind Barry of course) players to be mentioned! This is is a testament to what a phenomenal baseball player he really is. I agree it was selfish and self serving to announce his opt out during the World Series and I agree that he has not performed up to the level he is capable of in the playoffs (though he did have a decent playoffs last year, but not good enough for them to win), but whether you are an A-Rod hater or staunch supporter, you have to give him his props on the field. Clean and a great baseball player, which now it seems that it is hard to say those two phrases together!

The List is a joke. where is Luis Gonzalez? Just because a player is NOT on the list does mean anything. OJ Simpson & Ted Kennedy are still walking around yet they killed people. Lets not treat this list as the freaking 10 Commendments

Dils,

You aren't a Sox hater are you? Varitek, Nixon, and Damon all on your list and not in report?

I only ask because I took your list as gospel and told others to look for Rich Garces (which I find as unbelievable as Nook Logan).

I am ready for Opening Day(Night)at the new Nationals ballpark watching our steroid catcher, our soon to be felon outfielder(s), and probably some 12 year old pitchers.

In other words, I agree, let's move on.

Don't forget Laura Bush killed someone too and is "still walking around." Nitz, are you really comparing Ted Kennedy to OJ Simpson? I think Ryan Franklin deserves the electric chair.
