Baseball, One College Football Prediction

I will be back tomorrow with a more lengthy post including the week 6 win or die picks, but time does not wait for my blog so I thought I better get my baseball predictions up so everybody can go and unload on the other sides. Here we go...

Arizona over Colorado. Colorado has been unbeatable for about 3 weeks now. That being said, Arizona has a huge advantage at the #1 pitcher spot (Webb over Francis) and more experience at the other slots. In addition, not only is 17 of 18 an almost impossible streak to keep going (check out how many really hot teams made the World Series), but they have had 4 days to cool off since they finished off the Philberts in 3 quick games.

This next one is just for you Gosk, as I am having a tough time figuring out the AL series (at least I admit it this time). With Sabathia and Carmona pitching lights out all year, and both having done very well against the Sox in their last starts, I will take the Tribe in a close series, despite the fact that this is one of the few series when Terry Francona has a clear managerial edge over Eric Wedge. The Indians seem to win in spite of this guy's lack of having any clue as to what he is doing out there. Gosk, you owe me one, Tribe in 6. (By the way, how could anyone pick Cleveland in 7 games. That is saying you think Westbrook is going to win Game 7 in Boston. Puh leaze. If you are going to pick Cleveland, it has to be in 5 or 6).

Wake Forest beat Florida St 30-0 in Tallahassee last year. This year the game is in Winston Salem. So naturally, I will take Florida State laying 5.5. I just think Xavier Lee gives this Florida State team a much better chance to win than the horrible Drew Weatherford did. Between that, the revenge factor, and the fact that Wake's defense is just not the same this year, I will take the Noles.

Back tomorrow....
